critical, chronic or terminal illness. The maximum that may be accelerated is set by the specific rider
and varies by carrier, illness type and state; chronic illness generally accelerates at a lower rate,
and some riders reduce the payment by an actuarial discount and an administrative fee.
Accelerating a death benefit reduces the death benefit payable to
